Hello, Again

Well, I’m back. No, it’s not an April Fool’s joke. I’m still pounding away on the third novel, Saving Tate Michaels. During my break I must admit that I didn’t make much headway on the word count but I made lots of progress in my writer’s heart. And that goes a long way for this here introvert.

September marks the 20th anniversary of CCDA (Christian Community Development Association). The annual conference will be in Chicago. I’ll be traveling with a group from the Duke Center for Reconciliation.

I did do a lot of reading. Off and online. Finally finished Gracism and Reconciliation Blues. I’ll be posting about both of those over the next few months.

I redesigned the site. You’re welcome. And I started on a new project to help church folk start and maintain discussion groups around race. Aptly called the Supper Club Project.

Please do sign up for the Supper Club Project mailing list.

I’ve come to the realization that it is time for a break.

As I sit writing this blog, I’m a little sad and relieved. Sad that I will not be blogging for the next few months. And relieved that I won’t be blogging for the next few months.

Don’t worry, I will be writing. Once a writer always a writer, you know. My third novel manuscript is gathering too much moss. It’s way past time to wrap Saving Tate Michaels up.

During my break I will be spending time with friends and family on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn from time to time. I will not be sending out my monthly newsletter. But please do sign up (form in righthand column). When Tate Michaels’s story is off to the presses, you’ll be the first to know.

So this is not really farewell, just see you later.
